Jaguar Productions is the official University of South Alabama student activities organization dedicated to providing entertaining and educational programs for USA students. Through socials, mixers, performances, movies, trivia nights and other activities, Jaguar Productions offers students an opportunity to meet new people, form lasting friendships, and enjoy memorable experiences.
More than 200 student-led clubs and organizations are waiting to accept their students. From Greek life to service, professional and athletic organisations, the USA offers a wide and diverse mix of clubs. Intramural sports offer an outlet for competitive athletes and an opportunity to create camaraderie and a sense of community. Students, alumni and faculty compete in basketball, soccer, softball, flag football and water polo, among other sports.
Games take place in the Student Recreation Center and on the grounds of the Intramural Sports Complex, which consists of six multipurpose, lighted playing fields.South offers students many ways to enjoy time outside the classroom or just outside. The 116,000-square- foot Student Recreation Center can cater to almost any athletic interest. A cardio area, free weights, basketball and racquetball courts, indoor track and soccer field, a 40-foot rock climbing wall, studios for group classes, and both an indoor and outdoor pool are among its many features. A smoothie bar provides refreshment after a vigorous workout.
The beautiful, tree-shaded main campus of the University spreads across 1,200 acres, with a landscape that includes cultivated flower gardens, walking paths and groves of pine trees, more than 10 miles of bike trails, indoor and outdoor pools and a disc golf course. The Glenn Sebastian Nature Trail contains more than three miles of trails that wind through 95 acres of native pine and oak woodlands. In addition to the main campus and health system locations, South offers classes at its Baldwin County and Gulf Shores campuses.
Although international students are not eligible to receive federal or USC need-based financial aid, they may be awarded merit scholarships and/or other departmental awards. Additionally, international students may apply for some private loans with a qualified co-signer who is a U.S. citizen.
