95 percent of students graduating with a bachelor’s degree are engaged or pursuing further education within six months of graduation. For some majors that percentage is even greater. It’s no wonder so many worldwide students are attracted to this East Coast institution. What’s more, UD has an array of programs for non-native English-speaking learners, including the International Foundation Semester, acknowledging students with a 79-89 TOEFL score directly to the university.
The International Foundation Semester is a semester-long programme to enhance the mastery of English by students. Other programs are offered by the English Language Institute (ELI), which teaches English to those who want to study at UD but are unable to fulfill the language requirements. The pathway program, Academic Transitions, allows international students to gain up to 27 university credits while working towards improving their English-language skills.
At the University of Delaware, we believe in bringing ideas and perspectives from all over the world onto our campus. That's what drives innovation. That's why we're proud to support international students with scholarships.* Awards range from $5,000 - $18,000 per year.
We also offer a handful of exceptional international students an opportunity to compete for our most prestigious scholarships as a Distinguished Scholar. Scholarships are awarded for four years, provided the student maintains a 3.0 grade point average at the University of Delaware.
