The university provides financial aid to students in the form of scholarships, there are two types of scholarships at Temple: Merit Scholarships and, Need-based Scholarships. Merit scholarships range from $1,000 to full tuition. Eligibility may require scholarly, artistic, or athletic achievements of a student. In most cases, the financial need of a recipient will not determine the student's eligibility for a merit scholarship. Need-based Scholarships include two types of scholarships: Broad Street Finish Line Scholarship, it’s awarded annually in increments of $500 to $5,000, depending on need, and Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarship Program, which awards $5,000 annually to five first-year students.
