Syracuse University offers academic scholarships to qualifying applicants based on the student's application for admission – there is no application for merit scholarships.  The selection shall be made by the Admissions Committee and the eligibility shall be dependent on the academic requirements of the student, the performance of standardized examinations, class ranking, portfolio, group and extracurricular involvement, and overall citizenship and character, academic scholarships are awarded regardless of financial need. ACE Mentor Scholarship, FIRST scholarship, Refugee Scholarship, etc are among few other types of scholarships provided by the university.
