Pennsylvania State University, established in 1855, is the only land-grant institution of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and its largest public university. Its mission includes teaching, study, and public service to help the people of the Commonwealth, and to collaborate with manufacturing, educational and agricultural partners to produce, disseminate, incorporate and apply information that is of benefit to society. Every year there is a rise in the number of applications from foreign applicants and the enrollment of thousands of international students from different countries.
