Smeal's Integrated Undergraduate-Graduate MAcc Program provides the education necessary to be licensed as a CPA after five years of study at Penn State. The program is a good fit for highly motivated students who know as of their sophomore year that they want to pursue a career in public accounting and earn a CPA upon graduating. Coursework for the Integrated MAcc Program begins in the fall semester of junior year. Graduation occurs after the fifth year, at which time students simultaneously earn a bachelor's and master's degree in accounting.

Penn State students in the Smeal College of Business or the Division of Undergraduate Studies (DUS) who have been accepted, or will be accepted to the Accounting major at the end of the spring semester of their sophomore year may apply to the Integrated MAcc Program during the application period, which is typically in January each year. The admission process is competitive, and the class size is limited.
