Loyola University of Chicago, a private university established in 1870 as St. Ignatius College, is one of the nation's largest Jesuits, Catholic Universities, and the only one in Chicago. It is motivated by a clear promise to prepare people to lead an exceptional life. The university consists of four campuses, namely the Lake Shore, the Water Tower, the Health Sciences, and the John Felice Rome Center in Italy. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 12,240, its setting is city, and the campus size is 105 acres.
