Barnstormer John Paul Riddle met an entrepreneur in 1925. Higbee Embry, together, founded the Embry-Riddle Company to teach the adventurous to travel. This relationship was the beginning of a vision that created more than 130,000 alumni who drive innovation and keep the aerospace and related industries operating safely and productively. Students will research seven primary fields of study covering a variety of aeronautical and non-aeronautical industries.

Embry-Riddle provides first-class education to new high school graduates, working adults, active service members, veterans, classroom students, and online learners. The campuses in Daytona Beach, Florida, and Prescott, Arizona have a typical living atmosphere, with classrooms and laboratories, dorms and clubs, sporting activities, and performances. Embry-Riddle Online and its Worldwide Campus feature state-of-the-art online technology that provides students versatility in learning whenever and wherever they want.

The Student Engagement Department is proud to support more than 120 diverse student groups. We have scholarly and technical groups; service groups; recreational and hobby groups; faith and cultural groups; and a number of other groups. All groups are formed, coordinated, and run by students and are available to the campus community. The groups offer a lot of opportunities for students to get interested beyond their studies, whether they want to be amused and have fun or want to develop their skills.

Scholarships are financial prizes offered to students depending on their skills within and outside the classroom. 96 percent of Embry-Riddle Freshmen students earn a form of financial assistance through scholarships, grants, and loans, award sums range from $500 to $5,000. The qualifications for scholarships also vary; some are very particular and some are very common. University also has Army ROTC scholarships which is worth $29,000 annually and cover educational and tuition fees.
