The University is home to the Rangers and 20 NCAA Division III varsity sports. Student-athletes at Drew are known for their dual love for their sport and academic careers. Usually one-quarter of the student body, Rangers boasted championship honors, academic honors, and real-world exposure during their careers in The Forest. Campus Recreation's versatile and varied services allow students, faculty, and staff to give priority to exercise and healthy living, even with the most hectic schedules. Their wide variety of events fall into five categories: exercise, intramural athletics, club sports entertainment, and self-serve recreation. Drew makes free use of cardio facilities, exercise classes, and a recently renovated weight training area. Both the squad and the individual competition take part in club sports ranging from football to ultimate frisbee.
Drew University is committed to making education open and affordable to everyone and to offering generous financial assistance. Eighty-five percent of their students earn funding based on conditions and give more than $33 million in institutional grants and scholarships. It offers three significant, merit-based academic scholarships for three types of students: New First-Year Students, International Students, Transfer Students. For New First Year Students three types of scholarships are available The Francis Asbury Scholarship, The Presidential Scholarship and The Dean’s Scholarship. Annual scholarship amounts range from $10,000 to $25,000, International students are automatically eligible for all Drew University Academic Scholarships at the time of enrollment. There is also a small range of needs-based scholarships and student job programs open to foreign students and transfer applicants will be considered for annual scholarships ranging from $10,000 to $20,000. University also has some other merit-based scholarships along with Need-Based Grants and Financial Aid.
