Cal State Fullerton is the CSU's leading campus, acting as an academic and cultural hub for Southern California and a driver of labor and economic growth. It is an evolving national model to promote student achievement through innovative high-impact educational and co-curricular experiences, including collaborative faculty-student study. California State University Fullerton offers more than 100 undergraduate and associate degrees in a wide range of academic fields. Many of these disciplines often offer opportunities for concentration and special focus areas within a given degree.

Once part of a large orange grove, Cal State Fullerton's attractively landscaped main campus now consists of approximately 241 acres bounded south by Nutwood Ave., west by State College Blvd., north by Yorba Linda Blvd., and east by Orange Freeway Blvd (57). Other education institutions are part of the immediate environment. The Southern California College of Optometry opened its doors in the spring of 1973 and later became part of Marshall B. Ketchum University.

The campus is just north of Cal State of Fullerton. Since 1961, the CSU has delivered affordable, accessible, and high-quality education to 3.7 million graduates throughout California. While each campus is unique in terms of its curricula, location, and campus culture, each CSU is characterized by the quality of its educational programs. Both campuses are fully accredited, deliver a high-quality liberal education curriculum, and provide opportunities for students to participate in campus life through Associated Students Inc., clubs, and service-learning.
