California State University, Chico is a comprehensive university primarily serving Northern California, its states, and the country through excellence in education, science, artistic activity, and public service. The state of Chico was founded in 1887. It is one of the oldest post-secondary institutions in California and one of the most highly ranked public universities in the West. The University offers high-quality academic programs in a safe and comfortable atmosphere.
It offers more than 300 undergraduate and graduate in academic programs. This includes 70 pre-graduate majors in the liberal arts and in the vocational and technical fields. Many of our majors are divided as alternatives into areas of specialization. In addition, students can choose from a wide variety of majors, academic qualifications, certificates, and graduate programs. Pre-clinical advice is available in a variety of ways to students who want to continue working in professional schools. CSU, Chico is situated right in the heart of downtown Chico.
The campus offers a lot of shopping and dining opportunities. It's described as one of the most beautiful campuses in the CSU system. There are several outdoor recreation opportunities in the Chico area.
