There is a wide variety of opportunities for students to choose from, with over 500 different undergraduate and postgraduate courses on offer at USW. With a packed International Welcoming Programme, airport arrival service, and a range of support programs, such as Study Skills Assistance and English language support, USW welcomes 2,500 international students from 120 countries each year and does a lot to make students feel welcome. There are world-class sporting facilities and a variety of student clubs and organizations outside of school.
The University of South Wales offers a number of generous scholarships to foreign students who are self-funded. The university's Undergraduate and Postgraduate EU scholarship scheme offers a scholarship on the international tuition fees for EU students. Commonwealth Scholarships is an international scheme in which member states of the Commonwealth give scholarships to residents of developed Commonwealth countries. Nearly 30,000 people have benefited from Commonwealth Scholarships since the scheme started in 1959. Approximately 900 scholarships are awarded annually in the UK. There are few other scholarships that the university provides to its students, such as Chevening Scholarship, Chancellors International Development Scholarships, International Office Scholarships, etc.
