The University of Central Lancashire in Preston was initiated in 1828 as the Institution for the Diffusion of Knowledge. Today, it is one of the UK's biggest universities. With a student and staff community close to 38,000, the university is the fifth largest employer in the North West of England. Internationally, it has educational allies in all regions of the world and it is on a world stage that the first-class value of its education was first accepted.

The School and College Liaison team is dedicated to working alongside schools, academies, free schools, sixth forms, further education colleges, and University Technical Colleges to support the progression of students to higher education. Preston Campus is right at the heart of the town, just minutes away from its lively shopping center, attractions and nightlife. Compact city-center campus is a mixture of fantastic architectural styles and is a vivid community where learners can work, live, socialize, and relax. Across the campus, the buildings are home to expert laboratories and workshops, performing theatres and studios, social spaces, and places to eat and drink.

The University of Central Lancashire is launching a scholarship scheme for all EU students .The UCLan EU scholarships are to the value of £1,000 for each year of study on your undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme. These awards will be offered as a tuition fee waiver.
