The university focuses similarly on athletics and provides one of the finest sports centers in the United Kingdom. University-based athletes won six medals at the Rio 2016 Olympics.

Scholarships are available at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels of which the following scholarships are available to Indian students: The Chancellor’s Scholarship, International Baccalaureate 50th Anniversary Scholarship, Deans Award for Academic Excellence Scholarship, Global Leaders Scholarships, School of Management Scholarships, GREAT Scholarships, Chevening Scholarships. The University provides other subject-specific merit-based grants to foreign applicants, such as the J.P. Morgan Scholarship, as well as student loans and scholarships.
