The school's courses also provide lecture time, library reading, and time when students work to discuss and explain their work in groups with tutors. Located in the center of the city of Glasgow, the Glasgow School of Art also has a library with one of the finest collections of art, design and architecture in the UK.
The GSA ranked in the top ten specialty educational institutions in The Guardian University Guide, ranking it as the top specialist visual arts college in the UK. Almost 20 percent of its 1,900 students are international, 20 percent from the rest of the UK and nearly 20 percent are postgraduates.
The Glasgow School of Art has a variety of scholarships open to new students beginning undergraduate studies each year. Along with undergraduate scholarships, it provides scholarships to postgraduate students also.
