Particular investment is being made in specialized facilities such as the state-of-the-art, multi-million-pound Alison Gingell house, giving students of Health and Life Sciences the ability to experience real-world health scenarios with a fully equipped ambulance, operating theatre, and sports therapy clinic.
New social spaces on campus have been built in the center of student life called The Hub, The university spent GBP 89 million on housing between 2016 and 2019, including Bishop gate, Godiva Place, and The Cycle Works, all within walking distance of the main campus. All faculties place a strong focus on graduate results, with employability units working to ensure that students obtain industry exposure, mentoring, and encouragement to assist them in their graduate position.
The hub is the nucleus of student life: it's the place to meet, grab a friend's coffee, have a drink, or just hang out. In short, it's The Campus Life Center. But just across from The Hub, there is also the University's Sports Centre, and Westwood Heath Sports facilities with floodlit AstroTurf and football, hockey, rugby and cricket grass pitches. Student have almost 100 clubs and societies to join, which is a perfect way to meet new friends. The university understands that while at the university, many of its students would need to take a part-time job, so they also have their own recruiting agency on campus: thefutureworks.
With their collection of Coventry University Scholarships, like Sports and Academic Excellence, they support their students. Their Flying Start program for undergraduate students is also available, where the aim is to cover some of the mandatory expenses of taking a specific course within the fee you pay.
