The Ara Institute of Canterbury has six campuses all over the South Island. The Madras Street Campus is situated on the outskirts of Christchurch's CBD and within walking distance of stores, cafes, supermarkets, entertainment venues, parks, and other attractions. It's the largest campus in Ara, well served by public transport, and it's just five minutes from the city's main bus station. In addition to new, purpose-built amenities, there is also a leisure center, a gym, a fitness center, a bookshop, and a number of on-site cafés.
In addition, the university provides assistance and advice to foreign students and people with disabilities. Ara offers 16 courses across 6 streams, including Architecture, Creative Arts, Engineering, Management, Hospitality Management, Media and Global Communications, and 7 graduate programs, namely BMM, BMC, BAM, B.Tech and BA.
