In this program, you'll gain knowledge of the fundamentals of electrical and electronic engineering and study the building blocks that are the foundation of computer hardware and software engineering. Electronic technicians are required to complete two years of specialized education, leading to a Higher Certificate in Electronic Engineering. You'll be introduced to the fundamentals of electronics, computers, and software systems.

You will learn about analog and digital systems, engineering science, information communications, control systems, computer programming, and network engineering. Our first-year student mentor will meet with you weekly during your first year to assist with your transition to the third level. In Year 2, working on a hands-on project will help you to develop strong design skills, by solving a real engineering problem. Finding solutions to problems is a major part of any engineering job.
