There are over 7,000 parking spaces available in 21 lots. Approximately 200 clubs run through the Student Council. There are more than 40 cultural clubs as well as scholarly, political, philanthropy, or special interests. Western's 46 separate sports teams and clubs participate in national athletics each year. Additional intramural leagues, sports clubs, and the finest student recreation centers in the country provide a wide variety of fitness choices. Athletic financial awards of up to 4,000 CAD a year are eligible.

As part of the National Scholarship Program, three scholarships worth $50,000 each are open to outstanding foreign students. Selection is based on excellent academic performance, imaginative and innovative thinking, and notable achievement in extracurricular activities. In order to be eligible for an entrance scholarship, a student must apply for full-time first-year admission directly from high school to the Western main campus.
