Saint Mary's dates back to 1802 when, at the intersection of Spring Garden Road and Barrington Lane, the Reverend Edmund Burke, later Bishop Burke, taught young men at the Glebe House. The school's boys first evolved into a college and then into a university, never wavering in their devotion to education and community service.
