Established in 1906 at Summerland, Okanagan College was the first college to be opened in British Columbia. Situated in the Southern Interior of B.C., Okanagan College offers post-secondary education through each of its four regions, extending from the Canada-U.S. border in the south to Revelstoke in the north. Okanagan College is the primary College outside the lower mainland and one of British Columbia’s most prominent trades training institutions. The College’s four main campuses are located in Penticton, Kelowna, Vernon, and Salmon Arm. More than 20,000 students come to Okanagan College each year, plus more than 7,000 full-time equivalent students were taking programs from trades to technical certifications and university transfer courses.

Okanagan is popular for its Sustainable Construction Management Technology (SCMT) software. It is based at the Jim Pattison Centre of Excellence located on the Penticton Campus.his programme educates students on sustainable building techniques and green technologies. One of Okanagan College's core values is sustainability.
Okanagan College Scholarship: The Indspire awards are the largest non-governmental funding body for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis post-secondary students across Canada. Indspire offers financial assistance (scholarships and bursaries) through three major categories: Post-Secondary Education, Fine Arts, and Cultural Projects and Health Careers.
