NC intercollegiate athletics program has won seven national championships and thirty-five provincial championships. The bookstores at the Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake campuses are open year-round to students and the general public, offering textbooks, supplies, computer accessories, trade and reference books, clothing, gift-ware and more.

The Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus is positioned between Glendale Avenue and the Queen Elizabeth Way. This 125-acre campus includes ecological lagoons, wetland systems, landscaped gardens, and a 40-acre on-campus teaching vineyard. Known for its dedication to sustainability and naturalization, the Welland Campus is situated in a friendly, residential community in the Niagara Region center. The campus is home to the NC Teaching Hair Salon, the Walker Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Centre, NC Research and Innovation, a new Green Automotive Technology lab, and the Rankin Technology Centre.

At Niagara University, 67% of full-time undergraduates receive some kind of need-based financial aid, and the average need-based scholarship or grant award is $24,427.
