Lakeland College

Lakeland College first opened its doors in 1913 as the Vermilion School of Agriculture, and has a long and vibrant history. Today, Lakeland College has campuses in Vermilion and Lloydminster and is Canada’s only inter-provincial college.Lakeland is part of the Saskatchewan and Alberta post-secondary system.

Lakeland College offers more than 50 certificate, diploma, and post-diploma applied degree, degree, apprenticeship and transfer programs in several sectors, including agriculture, fire and emergency services, energy, business, environmental sciences, health and wellness, human services, interior design technology, and university transfer.Lakeland has many articulation agreements in place with post-secondary institutions across Canada and the US.

It's the more rural of our two campuses providing a truly small-town college experience. The Lloydminster campus, opened in 1990, has a new metropolitan sensibility. More than 500 students in seven disciplines are on the Lloydminster campus.

Lake Land College Foundation Scholarships are awarded to students based on a wide range of criteria. Each year, the Lake Land College Foundation awards students more than $400,000 worth of scholarships in a range of amounts up to $5,000.The average freshman retention rate, an indicator of student satisfaction, is 66%.
