The college welcomed its first students in 1971 and adopted the name Camosun, a local Lekwungen, meaning, where different waters meet and are transformed. The college offers university transfer and applied degree programs, career and trades training, upgrading and preparatory programs, and continuing education. It is located in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia. It’s two campuses, Lansdowne and Interurban, serve thousands of learners every year.
Over 1,200 indigenous students from First Nations, Métis, and Inuit groups and over 2,100 international students from more than 80 countries are welcomed each year by Camosun, the college is eager to acknowledge student excellence and assist them in need by providing awards and bursaries, through the Camosun Foundation.
