The Hotel School was set up in 1989 as an integral part of Intercontinental Sydney with the vision of creating Australia’s best talent in Hospitality. From the outset, it concentrated on developing future leaders who would also possess the practical skills required to run a business.

The School welcomes students from around the world to study in Sydney and Melbourne. It enjoys an inclusive and multicultural student population, with students from Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. The School has an exclusive educational partnership between Southern Cross University and Mulpha Australia, a major player in the hospitality industry.

THS Sydney distributes the Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management, Master of International Tourism and Hotel Management, Graduate Certificate in International Tourism and Hotel Management, and Graduate Diploma in International Tourism and Hotel Management. All international student applicants for Bachelor's or Masters' programs are eligible for a 10% continuing scholarship from the Hotel School and 15% one-off scholarships are offered to onshore international students.
