Their aim is to encourage the academic performance of both students and to promote their well-being by concentrating on achieving their educational, professional, and personal goals. There are interesting clubs and sports organizations, women's clubs, men's clubs, indigenous knowledge clubs, LGBTIQ clubs, and mature-age student clubs.
The university group comes together during the year to celebrate its diversity and to learn more about each other. This includes activities linked to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, the celebration of cultural diversity and social inclusion by the Fusion Festival, and diversity of gender and sexuality. On the annual snow tour, students can visit the snow or try out individual and team sports, or they can run a 10km run in the Gold Coast Marathon or Southern Cross University. Activities include mountain biking, swimming clubs, water polo, rugby clubs, AFL, soccer, badminton, cricket, and netball, although the activities available on each campus vary.
The Lismore Campus has Fitness Center with new gym facilities and an indoor heated pool, providing a choice of community with workout classes or private training courses. The SCU campuses are linked primarily to the Gold Coast Airport in southeast Queensland, at Lismore in New South Wales, and at Coffs Harbour, where the National Marine Science Centre of the University is also located.
The Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth branch campuses run in partnership with EduCo, and the University, in collaboration with Mulpha Australia, runs The Hotel School Sydney and Melbourne. It also offers degrees in China and Papua New Guinea with partners. TAs research locations from cosmopolitan cities, booming industries, and coastal lifestyles to living laboratories of great natural beauty and ecological diversity right next to the campus, the regions SCU calls home all have unique characteristics.
Southern Cross University provides scholarships for undergraduate, postgraduate, Indigenous Australian, and international students. There are also scholarships offered to help you study abroad as an international exchange student for a limited amount of time. The value of scholarships ranges from $150 to $60 000 and the eligibility criteria for each scholarship varies widely. Although the requirements for selection vary, all scholarships are meant to recognize academic excellence, community engagement, and leadership.
They promote student success while still assisting students who have shown financial or other drawbacks. The university also offers Research Master's and Ph.D. Scholarships to students who all are choosing to undertake a research program. They are also offering help to those students who face educational disadvantages for some reason or the other, thus equity scholarships are available for undergraduate students. Besides this, there are honors scholarships, offered to students who are studying honours units in their chosen field of study.
