For the betterment of students, the university is offering more than 600 scholarships, that help make the university a reality for new and continuing students. Griffith also has a number of awards and prizes, which are awarded every year at the end of the academic year. These awards and prizes are given to students with outstanding academic achievements.

Academic Excellence Scholarships are awarded to international students at undergraduate and postgraduate study levels, and the scholarship will cover 25% of the tuition fees, followed by Remarkable scholarship and International Student Academic Merit Scholarships, for international students which will cover 50% and 20% of tuition fees, respectively. Together with these scholarships, students have the opportunity to apply for Ph.D. and research scholarships available at the university. For particular research areas, scholarships are offered throughout the year.

There are some other additional scholarships such as publication assistance scholarships, travel grants, completion assistance, that are available to current students.
