AP Exam Pattern

Here are the common highlights of every AP exam:

• The duration of most exams is 2-3 hours.
• In the multiple-choice questions, the total score is based on the number of correctly answered questions.
• No negative marking for incorrect or unanswered questions.
• Free-response questions comprise the second part of the AP exam, where candidates have to generate their answers.
• Responses can be in spoken format, in essay form, or as a solution to a problem.

·         1 question about the harmonization of a melody

·         Candidates have 75 seconds to examine and practice and 30 seconds to perform

·         About 20-22 writing questions. Candidates have to read like a writer and make revisions to the text
