Documents Required for Australian Student Visa Application

Australia ranks among the top study-abroad destinations in the world as it hosts several high-ranking universities that offer a number of high-quality popular courses. The government here provides study visas for international students who can also apply for permanent residency in the later years.

The documents required for the Australian Student visa application are:

• Identity: The best way to prove your identity would be to attach a copy of your passport. Also include an attested copy of your national identity card, birth certificate, or driver’s license.

• Evidence of intended study: You must provide evidence of being admitted to the proposed program in Australia.

• Health insurance: You must show proof of health insurance taken from Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) and the validity of your policy. You must undergo health examinations to declare your physical fitness.

• Evidence of financial capacity: To demonstrate your financial stability to the immigration department, provide one of the following:

1. Evidence of funds to cover travel to Australia and 12 months living, course, and tuition fee costs for yourself and accompanying family members

3. Attach details of scholarships, sponsorships, bank statements, financial institution or government loans

• Genuine Temporary Entrant requirement: It is mandatory to show evidence to prove that you intend to study in Australia temporarily and that you will return once your course gets over.

• English proficiency: It is one of the most important parts of your Australian student visa process. If your native language is not English, you have to take the English proficiency tests like IELTS or TOEFL to prove you can speak and understand English.
