Many students desire for the chance to pursue an overseas education. There is one critical question for those considering studying abroad: where is the ideal place to study as an international student? The answer is contingent on your specific requirements for a study abroad destination. The highlights of popular study destinations are covered in our list of the best places to Study Abroad.
Yes, as an international student you will have to take the SAT or ACT test to study in USA for your bachelor’s degree. There are very few exceptions to this rule. SAT or ACT tests are meant to test the critical thinking and reasoning skills of applicants who wish to study at a US university. The scores help the admission panel understand the degree of readiness of an applicant for studying in a US University.
A majority of international students who take the SAT typically enroll in coaching. Coaching facilities will show you how to read questions so that you may choose an answer that is more certain to be correct. They will also help you with time management, grade your essays, and identify your weak areas. However, rather than the number of hours you spend receiving coaching, your performance will be more influenced by the effort and practice you put forth. Take as many practice exams as you can, and try to answer every question. Work diligently on the questions you frequently get wrong.
The SAT plays an important role in the college admissions process. They show the colleges your “college readiness”. Since the SAT has a strong predictive influence on a student’s future academic performance and universities use it as an indicator of your college success, getting a good SAT score improves your acceptance rate in a university.
Also, the SATs level the playing field since different high schools have different grading systems and some schools may grade more stringently than the others. SAT gives all the students an equal chance to showcase their ability on a common standardized platform.
The questions on the digital SAT are exactly the same as it was for the paper and pencil SAT except for a few changes in the wording and reduction in the length of the passages.
To get a sense of types of the questions that you are likely to face in the digital SAT, check out the sample questions that have been released by the College Board in the link below.

The digital SAT is still scored on a 1600 scale, and both the instructors and students can continue to monitor progress across the suite over time. The scores on the SAT will means the same thing as that on the digital SAT, this means a score of 1200 on the digital SAT corresponds to a score of 1200 on the paper and pencil SAT.
