ACT is the abbreviation of American College Testing. It is a standardized examination enabling students to get admission to American colleges and universities. Initially, it was a paper and pencil-based test, however, in 2015 students can take the test online. The test has seen a remarkable increase in the number of test-takers which is increasing with each passing year.
